MEET SAM EATON

ABOUT

For close to 15 years, I have been fortunate enough to call Enfield home for myself and my family. We were drawn to the beauty of the lakes and mountains, the area’s extensive and unique history, and the sense of community.

In 2010, I found there was an opening for a member of the Budget Committee. It has been incredibly fulfilling as a resident to serve the town as a member ever since, as well as serving as the Chairman for the greater part of my time spent on the Budget Committee.

As a member of the budget committee over this past decade, every budget season began with discussions about how to shape and develop the budget to ensure efficient town operations and core services, while remaining conscious of the residents in our community on fixed and limited incomes.

With those things in mind, I have helped lead the Budget Committee to keep the tax rate as level as possible and promoted cost savings measures, while working with department heads to maintain a high level of service, advocating for innovation in all town departments, and investing in infrastructure in a way that made sense to the town and taxpayers.

I have been committed to the residents of Enfield in this role for many years. As I look toward the future, I would like to take this same balanced approach as a member of the Board of Selectmen as I did on the budget committee.

In addition to the Budget Committee, I am a member of the CIP Committee, have been on the Regional Organizations Sub-Committee, and the Town Manager Search Committee.

Thank you to the residents who have supported me as a Budget Committee member and Chairman, and I hope to earn your vote as a Board of Selectmen member in March.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss my candidacy. You can follow me on Facebook for updates: https://www.facebook.com/SamEatonNH

LOOKING FORWARD

Town Growth

For more than 10 years Enfield has not seen growth in it’s population. I will meet with business owners, town leaders, and citizens to help craft a solution that respects the rich history and heritage of Enfield, while responsibly growing the town.

Preserving Our Resources

Enfield has an abundance of natural wonders in our town. We are surrounded by wild life, mountains, lakes, rivers, and streams. I believe there is a balance that can be struck between town growth and preserving our natural wonders.
